Youth Mentoring Program
“Leaders in Motion”
Leaders in Motion is a multigenerational mentoring program where community leaders, high school athletes, and younger youth athletes build meaningful relationships that inspire personal growth, academic achievement, and leadership skills.
Community Leader Mentor
Mentors: Business owners, professionals, & community leaders.
Mentees: High school youth athletes in the Texas Storm Nation program.
Community Leader Mentor Activities

Adult mentors attend mentees' basketball and football games to provide encouragement and build rapport.

Mentors connect mentees with internships, scholarships, or job shadowing opportunities.

Mentors host monthly workshops on topics such as:
Planning for college or a career.
How to start and run a successful business.
Financial literacy and basic investing.
Job interview and resume tips.
Time management and goal setting.
Peer Role Model Mentor
Mentors: Our high school athletes who are current mentees in the mentorship program.
Mentees: Jr. high and elementary youth in the Texas Storm Nation program.
Peer Role Model Mentor Activities

High school mentors attend junior high and elementary games to cheer on their mentees.

Under the guidance of their coach, high school mentors help younger athletes improve their basketball and football skills through fun, interactive drills.

High school mentors lead age-appropriate discussions on:
Navigating peer pressure.
Developing good study habits.
Being a positive role model and leader on and off the field/court
