Texas Storm Nation Financial Coaching Program

Parents Leading the Way

The Parents Leading the Way financial coaching program equips our parents and guardians with tools to achieve financial stability while reinforcing the broader mission of Texas Storm Nation to empower families and youth.

By strengthening the financial health of families, the program is also contributing to a more secure and prosperous future for our program youth.

All coaching sessions and resources are provided free of charge to program parents.

What is Financial Coaching?

Financial Coaching utilizes coaching techniques that develop a person’s ability to manage their own finances through setting and working towards self-defined financial goals.

Financial coaching is different from counseling, advising, or teaching. It is a unique approach for increasing an individual’s financial capability because it is mainly participant-driven.

Financial coaches are there to guide participants and equip them with financial knowledge and/or resources, but mainly to hold them accountable for reaching the financial goals they will set for themselves

Program Goals

  • Empower parents and guardians with the tools, knowledge, and accountability needed to achieve financial stability and security.

  • Strengthen family financial practices to benefit the youth in the Texas Storm Nation program.

  • Provide accessible, free resources and coaching tailored to individual needs and family dynamics.

  • Create a supportive, non-judgmental space for participants to set and achieve their own financial goals.
